More History Hype
(posted by Fred Emmott at 2008-04-11 18:37:46)

Following on from the posts on planet gnome and KDE, I got curious:

$ history|awk '{a[$2]++ } END{for(i in a){print a[i] " " i}}'|sort -rn|head -n 10
165 vim
113 make
104 ./yanihp
96 git
9 ls
4 grep
3 gdb
2 cd
1 sudo
1 history|awk

Seems a little unbalanced :|

normal user: 2474 git 849 less 447 nano 424 rm 318 ls 293 svn 268 bash 224 man 222 echo 183 grep bigger history ;) but this ignores pipes, subshells and possibly nested commands (not sure how they're stored). I can't find where I posted my implementation though.
